Please help. I’m trying to describe a chart that uses a combination of columns and short horizontal lines. have you seen this kind of thing before? What’s it called?
You might think that I could simply superimpose a line chart on the graph, but (to me) that would imply a trend; whereas what I want to do is show discrete data points.
And yes, of course I could plot the data as side-by-side columns. But that wouldn’t be as easy to read (I think.) Please add any thoughts in the comments below — or tweet me on @mediaczar
